The French-Dutch artist Claire van der Boog (Tolouse, 1988) opens the exhibition \"Layered Spaces\" at the Antoni Pinyol Gallery in Reus, after obtaining the second prize in painting at the last Telax Prize.
Claire van der Boog\'s work challenges the boundaries between painting and sculpture, creating three-dimensionality through two-dimensional layers, and abstract forms and representation, synthesizing reality through geometric abstraction, questioning the way in which we perceive and interpret space. To achieve this, in the work of van der Boog we can see new forms of representation and a very personal technique that mixes unusual elements in art.
Despite her youth, Claire van der Boog began her artistic career 10 years ago, and since then she has already exhibited in different countries, such as China, the United States, Argentina and the Czech Republic, as well as France and the Netherlands.
