This October marks the 40th anniversary of the gallery. To celebrate it, and in our ongoing cycle of exhibitions dedicated to the avant-gardes, we have decided to present a show dedicated to José Gurvich, one of the most relevant disciples of Joaquín Torres-García.
Despite his early death in New York in 1974, he was able to develop a complete and personal body of work where the principles of constructivism where the base to develop his own path. After his death his work has been exhibited all over the world and in 2005 the Gurvich Museum opened in Montevideo.
