Aurelio was born in Barcelona 1983. He is currently working as a 3D designer while he works on his art.
His capacity of adapting to the matter he is working with, allows him to work with figurative and abstraction with diverse technique according to the meaning he is trying to express.
For his first exhibition in Pigment Gallery, he wanted to express two different concepts: space (using landscapes) and time (whit books).
Landscapes have implicit in them the existence of an observer and the existence of a watched object. This undefined landscapes show us distance and idealization of the space. Elements that are very close to the definition of a memory.
The mural sculptures are based on the idea of compare. Between a life experience and a written page or a compilation of pages.in the end, people are stories, stories that are told or written.
Each book is used with the idea that is not a single story but are also filled with experiences and memories from the author, the characters in the story or sometimes, from the same artist.
These experiences are explained thought book fragments that represent variable time lapse, using the repetition, the gathering and order to symbolize the idea of keeping and filing.
This repetition gives as a result a visual relationship with collecting that reminds the field of entomology. Little memories that one keeps for itself.
