Skaters, asfalto y cielo

The exhibition that we present at Olivart Art Gallery is a consequence and the result of several causes; On the one hand, in the middle of the economic crisis, I began to paint a series of
"superheroes" who fought to save themselves from that situation. Over time these beings were mutating, eventually becoming "Skaters". If all artistic production is seamlessly linked to one's own life, this is one more case as a user of the "Skater" or skateboard. This activity took center stage as an artistic theme. These "Skaters" are really a mixture of the real and the imaginary: A symbol of rebellion, individualism, youth, transit, risk ... passion for life. As background, a whole world where Pop Culture is present with all its aesthetics and concept. Movies, TV, comics, Rock and Roll, cartoons ... All this is so common that it influences their birth and reason for being.
